a one-day intensive class that will empower and educate you!
group prenatal classes
Group classes are offered as a one-day intensive – as much information as you need without the overwhelm. You’ll leave feeling confident and calm about what lies ahead in this wild, transitional time in your life. Classes are best taken from 30 weeks onward, or scheduled to be completed by 35-37 weeks.
Kama shares her unique knowledge, perspectives, and experiences as a midwife, doula, and parent, and she also tells it like it is. She’ll keep you laughing as you learn about everything from when you’re really in labour to what colour your newborn baby’s poop should be.
We like to keep it fun and personal so classes are small. Sessions are taught in a warm, inviting space with healthy snacks and tea.
All of the following topics (and more) are included in every full group prenatal intensive class.
You will feel educated, empowered and have a few laughs along the way!

We’ll cover everything from what to pack in your hospital bag (yes, even if you are planning a home birth), how to prepare your living space (yes, even if you are not planning a home birth), what to buy, and when to call your midwife, doctor, and family.

The postpartum period
The postpartum period begins in that magical moment you are no longer pregnant. We’ll talk about what happens to everyone in the first 24 hours, the first week, and the first 6 weeks postpartum.
Newborn care 101
Your tiny new little human has arrived. Um, now what? This session covers the need-to-knows for the first few hours, days, and weeks of your newbie’s life, from which baby sounds are normal and which are not, how often to change a diaper, signs of health vs. reasons to react, co-sleeping, how often to feed, and more.
